How much do you pay for rent in Folcroft?

Hey, The median home value here is around $140,000, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,363/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Folcroft sits at 377.1 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What would you do? Any help is appreciated. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Midtown for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The housing market scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Atlanta about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2019 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
