Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $100,544, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Has anyone dealt with this? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from New York about 5 years ago. The main reasons were family and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is solid.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 12 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
