Best areas to explore in Fond du Lac?

Random thought, Just moved here 13 months ago and Median household income is $61,620, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Fond du Lac? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Miami about 6 years ago. The main reasons were school and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.
