Day-to-day life in Fontana, CA

Been meaning to ask this. I'm single, late 30s, and The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. Poverty rate is 8.9%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Boston it's pretty good.

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 28, moved here 4 years ago from Boston. I've lived in Sunset and Cedar Grove, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Strong job market in several industries
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Property taxes are high
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The pet-friendliness situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Sunset: Great for remote workers. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Cedar Grove: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Boston, everything felt hit or miss. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $60K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
