Worst things about living in Fontana
Look, I love Fontana, but let's be real about the downsides:
Some areas are rundown
Winters are harsh
Not much to complain about honestly
Don't get me wrong, it's still a great place overall. But people should know what they're getting into.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Eastside. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 9/10.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

I'd add that the parks here are amazing for families. Otherwise spot on!

My kids love it here. So many parks and activities. The local food is incredible.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Lakewood and Southside are perfectly safe.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

The job market has been improving lately. Several manufacturing companies moved in recently.

Don't sleep on Lakewood. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is drive around neighborhoods at different times before committing. Makes a big difference.

I work in government and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 4 months.
