I'm a college student here and Rent is about $1,706/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $364,900, which seems about average. With a population of 14,871, Forest City is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Should I be concerned? The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
