Is Forest Grove getting better or worse?
Hi all, My partner and I are Poverty rate is 8.7%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $81,998 in Forest Grove. With a population of 26,406, Forest Grove is a smaller city. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
Pros:
- Great weather
- Friendly people
- Lots of new development
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport connections
Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Limited nightlife
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Chain restaurants dominate
Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to.
