Thinking about relocating to Forest Grove from Minneapolis

So, Median household income is $81,998, which feels pretty solid for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What do you all think?

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is dating scene. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 9 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Midtown for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The food scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..
