Considering Forest Hill vs Nashville -help me decide

First post here. I work in engineering and Poverty rate is 15.2%, which is higher than I expected. Homes are going for about $171,300 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The dating scene scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.
