Random thought, Rent is about $1,950/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Forest Hills sits at 26.5 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks for reading. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 3 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for family and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The cost of living is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
