Cost of living reality check -Forest Hills

We have two kids and Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in Old Town for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
- The job market scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.
