I'm single, late 50s, and Rent is about $1,950/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,950 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,494 people. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Property taxes are high
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much developing but now it's improving.
