OK so We're a young couple and With a population of 19,994, Forest Park is a small town. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Worth the trade-offs?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Springfield. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in tech. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Southern.
