Forked River job market vs Seattle

Hello, I've been here for 10 years and You can expect to pay around $2,071 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Forked River sits at 71.4 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 5.6%, which is about average. The median home value here is around $404,600, which is pretty steep. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I work in retail here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is better than expected. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely better than expected and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (East) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
