Is Fort Atkinson worth moving to in 2026?
Been meaning to ask this. It's a a small town city with about 12,490 people. Homes are going for about $198,600 on average. Rent is about $957/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $75,350 in Fort Atkinson. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. What would you do? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
