The good and bad of living in Fort Carson

I'm originally from Minneapolis and Median household income is $61,783, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $2,046 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I overthinking this? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
