Is Fort Collins still affordable?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and Household incomes average around $83,598 in Fort Collins. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,661 for rent here. Average temperature is around 47°F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $1,661/month for a decent place. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Low crime in most areas
- Close to nature
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Not very walkable
- Chain restaurants dominate
What would you do? The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
