Relocating to Fort Collins, CO — pros and cons?
Been meaning to ask this. I've been here for 19 years and Homes are going for about $548,400 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,661 for rent here. It's a a mid-size city city with about 170K people. With a population of 170K, Fort Collins is a mid-size city. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.
