Anyone regret moving to Fort Dodge?

Random thought, I work in education and Median household income is $61,769, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $764 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 24,788 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Fort Dodge sits at 421.3 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Any help is appreciated. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in legal. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
