Moving to Fort Drum -what should I know?

I'm originally from Sacramento and Household incomes average around $63,194 in Fort Drum. Rent is about $1,563/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Any advice would be great. Appreciate any input. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
