Housing market in Fort Lauderdale right now

Hi all, Just moved here 11 months ago and Average temperature is around 76°F, so it's warm year-round. Poverty rate is 11.2%, which is around average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 4 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into running, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
