OK so I'm single, late 50s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Fort Lee sits at 65.7 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $2,255/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development.
