Alright, We have two kids and It's a a small town city with about 13,983 people. Poverty rate is 16.0%, which is higher than I expected. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Has anyone dealt with this? The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is improving in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in finance. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Asian.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.
