Fort Meade housing prices -when will it stop?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Rent is about $2,380/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $2,380 for rent here. With a population of 10,477, Fort Meade is a small town. The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Does this match your experience? Thanks for reading. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Bought a house here in 2023 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
