Benjamin Hill housing

Housing market in Fort Mill right now

So, We have two kids and Median household income is $127,537, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,281 people. The median home value here is around $457,000, which is pretty steep. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thanks for reading. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Came here for family and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The food scene is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Minneapolis about 8 years ago. The main reasons were work and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Good luck with whatever you decide..
