Is Fort Mitchell good for remote workers?

Alright, It's a a small town city with about 8,676 people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. What would you do?

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much affordable but now it's improving.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Atlanta about 7 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for school and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community vibe is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
