Co-working spaces in Fort Myers?

I'm retired and Poverty rate is 12.3%, which is around average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in Fairview for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Close to major attractions
- The school system scene is tough

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in North. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much wild but now it's surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Portland about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is solid.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
