Quick question about Fort Myers

Been meaning to ask this. You can expect to pay around $1,442 for rent here. Rent is about $1,442/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much established but now it's hit or miss.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
