Housing in Fort Oglethorpe compared to Houston

Hey folks, I work in finance and Crime rate is something to consider -Fort Oglethorpe sits at 470.1 per 100K. Homes are going for about $186,500 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Anyone in a similar situation?

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Old Town area are better than expected. Kids love it here.
