Job hunting in Fort Pierce -tips?

OK so I've been here for 19 years and It's a a smaller city city with about 48,094 people. The unemployment rate is 5.4%, which is about average. With a population of 48,094, Fort Pierce is a smaller city. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Appreciate any input. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The food scene scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.
