Quick question about Fort Pierce

Curious what people think. My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 20.5%, which is higher than I expected. Has anyone dealt with this?

I work in marketing here and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market for my field is underrated. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
