Unpopular opinion about Fort Polk North

Anyone else feel this way? I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 9.4%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Fort Polk North sits at 603.1 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,083 for rent here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Does this match your experience? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I've lived in The Heights for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Strong job market in several industries
- The pet-friendliness scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
