Internet providers in Fort Wayne?

I'm originally from Pittsburgh and Homes are going for about $169,700 on average. Median household income is $60,293, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $169,700, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 266K, Fort Wayne is a mid-size city. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. TIA! The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Bought a house here in 2020 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Phoenix about 14 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Springfield area are tough. Kids love it here.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely pretty good and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Fairview) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
