For context, I've lived in Near Southside for the past 7 years. A friend just bought in Near Southside for K and I'm not sure if that was smart. Grocery prices are creeping up but still manageable. Am I being unrealistic?

I'd highly recommend checking out Southlake. The parks system here is underrated.. Plus the food options around there are excellent.

I'll give you a thorough answer since I've been through this exact situation.
I moved to North Richland Hills from Columbus about 1 years ago. Initially I loved it immediately. But after settling in, People here are friendlier than I expected coming from {other}..
A few things I'd recommend:
- Check out North Richland Hills and Clearfork for housing
- Talk to your neighbors - people are friendlier than you'd expect
- Download the local transit app even if you drive
The biggest adjustment was transit. Nightlife is decent if you know where to go.. Overall I'd give Fort Worth a 7/10 for families.

Worked in healthcare here for 6 years. The food scene in {hood} is honestly incredible.. The market is decent right now if you're in that field.

My experience has been different actually. I found that I've never felt unsafe walking around {hood} at night.. Maybe it depends on which part of Fort Worth you're in.

Great question. Here's my honest take after 9 years:
The good:
- Nice downtown area
- Diverse neighborhoods
- Strong local businesses
The not-so-good:
- Traffic is getting worse
- Homelessness visible downtown
The airport connections are {adj} which matters if you travel.. I'd say for families, Fort Worth is solid. Hope that helps!

- Check out Alliance and Clearfork for housing
- Get a car if you don't have one - transit is limited
- Try the farmers market on Saturday mornings
The biggest adjustment was dating scene. Downtown has improved dramatically since I first moved here.. Overall I'd give Fort Worth a 7/10 for retirees.

I'm a teacher in Keller. Been here since 2019. I feel like {city} is becoming more expensive without getting better..
Neighborhood-wise, Keller has really changed in the past few years. Ryan Place is the up-and-coming spot right now. North Richland Hills is where I'd look if budget is a concern.
Job market for construction: improving. For education: lively.
I keep discovering new spots even after {yr} years.
