Is it worth buying in Fort Worth?
Hey, Just moved here 9 months ago and Median household income is $76,602, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 9.6%, which is pretty low. With a population of 941K, Fort Worth is a major city. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
