Moving to Fort Worth with kids — good idea?

Longtime lurker here, You can expect to pay around $1,412 for rent here. Homes are going for about $277,300 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Worth the trade-offs? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.
