Longtime lurker here, Crime rate is something to consider -Foster City sits at 112.6 per 100K. Rent is about $3,501/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $193,633 in Foster City. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
