Hey everyone, My partner and I are Household incomes average around $52,943 in Fostoria. The unemployment rate is 4.3%, which is about average. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Let me know your thoughts.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor recreation is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a lawyer, 45, moved here 7 years ago from Austin. I've lived in South and Old Town, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Winters are long and cold
2. Limited high-paying job options
3. The safety situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for remote workers. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Old Town: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Austin, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $40K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
