Anyone else love living in Fountain?

OK so Just moved here 9 months ago and It's a a smaller city city with about 29,327 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Fountain sits at 409.1 per 100K. The median home value here is around $374,600, which seems about average. Household incomes average around $85,246 in Fountain. Poverty rate is 5.8%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Low crime in most areas
- Good schools
- Close to nature
- Active local events

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Limited nightlife
- Limited dining options
- Not enough green space
Any advice would be great. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Moved here from New York about 15 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to housing market but Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The public transit is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely underrated and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The school system scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Eastside for 9 years. Moved from Salt Lake City for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. retail is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Eastside schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Limited entertainment options. And school system can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 9/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Atlanta it's pretty good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely tough and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (The Heights) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
