Just moved to Fountain Valley, any tips?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a 49-year-old data analyst and With a population of 56,358, Fountain Valley is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $1,018,600 on average. Median household income is $111,797, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $1,018,600, which is pretty steep. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this?

I've lived in Lakewood for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Strong sense of community
- The dating scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
