The unemployment rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Fountainebleau sits at 231.7 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. Would love some local perspective.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely tough and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Westside) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

Moved here from Atlanta about 12 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to traffic but Hope this helps!.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Bought a house here in 2020 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The traffic is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
