Job market in Fountainebleau for tech?

I'm retired and Median household income is $65,568, which feels about average for the area. It's a a smaller city city with about 56,453 people. Rent is about $1,948/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $284,600 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for Fountainebleau? Appreciate any input. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Raleigh about 14 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
