Moving to Fountainebleau for work -advice?

We're a young couple and It's a a smaller city city with about 56,453 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Fountainebleau sits at 231.7 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Tampa about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is average.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Riverside for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options
- The school system scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in North for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The traffic scene is average

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..
