Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Four Corners sits at 131.6 per 100K. The median home value here is around $312,300, which seems about average. Poverty rate is 6.8%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Would love some local perspective. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The food scene is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in South for 14 years. Moved from Tampa for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is surprisingly good. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
finance is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. South schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Limited entertainment options. And food scene can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 8/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
