First time home buyer in Four Corners

The median home value here is around $313,500, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this?

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Lakewood area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Indian places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

I've lived in East for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The school system scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is underrated in most areas.
