So, Poverty rate is 22.0%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $61,071 in Fowler. Median household income is $61,071, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,172 for rent here. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I wrong here? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- The healthcare scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Summers can be brutally hot
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The school system is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
