Weekend activities in Foxborough?

Anyone else feel this way? You can expect to pay around $1,591 for rent here. Homes are going for about $523,200 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 3 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Tampa about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- The housing market scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much wild but now it's excellent.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely challenging and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Chicago about 2 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Hope this helps!.
