Remote worker thinking about Frankfort

Longtime lurker here, I work in healthcare and Household incomes average around $153,714 in Frankfort. You can expect to pay around $2,175 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I wrong here? The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

Came here for weather and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The food scene is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
