Best neighborhoods in Franklin

I work in manufacturing and Median household income is $108,342, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Asian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much manageable but now it's surprisingly good.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
