Studio apartments in Fredericksburg -options?

Been meaning to ask this. The median home value here is around $461,500, which is pretty steep. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Would love some local perspective. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Denver about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is underrated.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..
